It’s clear from the outset of chatting with David Weisburd that he is devoted to family – especially to his 91-year-old grandmother with whom he was visiting abroad at the time of our talk. It’s also clear this young venture capitalist is a go-getter and extremely intelligent with the penchant for making wise investments with one of his best investments being Penthouse Paramount One.

On the upper echelons of one of the most prestigious buildings in Miami – The Paramount Miami Worldcenter – Penthouse Paramount One soars hundreds of feet into the air and has one of the most breathtaking terrace views of the sparkling Miami skyline. It was that view enticing David to make the purchase very quickly, in fact, it took less than five minutes before he decided to purchase it.

“I was aware of the building and when I came into the building and saw the terrace, I thought it was the most amazing space I had seen in Miami and several people also said it was the most amazing space they’ve seen including people who have thrown large events,” David said. “As soon as I saw the outside of the building and the opportunity to entertain and bring people together, I knew that this was the space for me and I ended up negotiating for the space on the spot.”

About David

David was born in Russia and immigrated to the United States Midwest with his family when he was just four years old.

“I’m a serial entrepreneur turned venture capitalist,” David said. “I co-founded 10X Capital and last quarter we were the most active venture capital firm in the US and the second most active globally. I have invested in some of the most prolific companies in the last generation including 23andMe, Clubhouse, Robinhood, Tonal, and Wish, and many others.”

David spent his undergrad years at Indiana State University and received his MBA from Dartmouth University and his Masters degree in psychology from Harvard University.

“I have dual Ivy League Masters degrees and I have focused my life on technology and how it impacts society.”

Penthouse Paramount One is the first real estate investment David has made in Florida.

“Certainly I want to grow my real estate investment portfolio. A lot of focus is on my venture capital career but I will probably look at the Caribbean or a tropics-based property or something in Paris or London or another part of Europe as my next property,” David said.

The Building

“You come here, you have all these amenities. If you want to discover Miami and spend time in Miami and spend time close to Brickell, then a penthouse is the best option.”

David also said guests with children can rest assured the home is secured and there are indeed many children living in the building.

“There are lots of kids … and dogs. It’s very family-friendly,” David added.
