Mesa

Mesa is known for its innovative eats and creative cocktails in a contemporary lounge setting. It stands out with its unique architectural design, retractable roof, living wall, local art displays and movies projected onto the walls. There is a wide selection on the menu, such as the Forbidden Salmon with black forbidden rice, braised fennel, roasted okra in a coconut saff­ron sauce. Wash down that delicious meal with a glass of wine, a craft cocktail, or champagne. Mesa is a chic 21 and over establishment, with recommended attire being smart casual.

Trust

Trust is a table concept – designed to provide a unique and elevated culinary experience. The Trust Kitchen is an intimate 18-seat culinary theater where chefs prepare a meal for you consisting of a dozen or so courses, and the sommelier pours paired beverages with each course. There is a theme for each evening, so you’ll have some idea what’s on the menu, but the sign on the door says, “Trust.” Just come in expecting to have a great meal and let them take care of the rest.

Geoffrey’s

Off the Pacific Coast Highway, Geoffrey's has specialized in fresh-caught seafood since 1948, when it was a favorite spot of Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe. Breathtaking views of the Pacific coastline are kicked up by waterfalls and tropical plants creating a decidedly romantic atmosphere at Geoffrey’s. Special dishes include seafood paella, and tuna tartare. You’ll enjoy the Californian cuisine while dolphins and whales showcase their fantastic water displays.

Contemporary Villa Kaizen

Dining at Moonshadows feels like you’re dining on a luxury yacht surrounded by massive windows for an exemplary panoramic ocean view. The mouthwatering dishes have Asian fusion, Italian and American influences. Appetizers include choices such as duck and shiitake mushroom spring rolls, and octopus carpaccio while main courses feature dishes like miso glazed black cod and almond-crusted albacore tuna steak.

Nobu Malibu

Nobu is probably the most famous restaurant in Malibu. It has locations all over the globe. It’s an extremely trendy place to dine, and the Asian-inspired cuisine is among the best in the world. Chef Matsuhisa’s sushi is among the best in the world. Try the ribeye with truffle butter sauce or the roasted king crab with uni or shiso serrano. Nobu is a favorite among celebrities as well.

Saddle Peak Lodge

Saddle Peak Lodge is a real destination restaurant. It’s actually located in the Santa Monica Hills above Malibu, close to lovely hiking trails. Its 100-year-old history is colorful and varied. It once was a place where Hollywood’s elite could eat dinner in peace. Besides having traditional staples like Caesar salad, pork loin and asparagus, the menu also features some rarer meats such as emu, ostrich, venison and elk.

The Sunset Restaurant & Beach Bar

The Sunset is a bit off the beaten path, but the food is worth it. The eatery sits pretty much right on the sand on Zuma Beach, so the ocean views are tremendous. The décor is simple yet stylish, and the ambiance upbeat. The risotto asparagus and shrimp or the pumpkin tortellini are favorites.
