Villa Vita is ideal for anyone who wants to experience stylish eco-living – and thought-provoking contemporary art – within a landscape that has remained unchanged in the modern world. Close by are the wonderful UNESCO listed Baroque towns of the Val di Noto.
Immersed in a typical landscape of meadows crisscrossed by dry-stone walls, the house is no typical country villa. Every aspect of the villa is informed by ecological practices and philosophy, and every room has been created as a kind of installation by an artist from the Accademia Delle Belle Arti of Catania, sometimes with humor, sometimes with irony. The focus on the house is a large open living-space (and kitchen) with areas devoted to reading, TV, and eating. There are also five bedrooms each with ensuite bathroom at the same level, and two bedrooms with ensuite bathroom on a gallery floor.
Outside are two areas – shaded with white sails — for dining, reading or relaxing and a large ecological swimming pool (no chemicals). Beyond is a large garden with ancient carob and olive trees, citrus trees and prickly pears.
